FAQ’s relating to the transition of the Machinery Directive

The current Machinery Directive, 98/37/EC, is to be replaced by the new Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC, with effect from 29 December 2009. After discussion with the member countries and the notified bodies the European Commission has published a list of questions and answers (FAQ’s) that will help relating to the transition from the current Machinery Directive 98/37/EG to the revised Machinery Directive 2006/42/EG.
