Kunbus GmbH is a new member to the user organisation Safety Network International e.V. This company specialises in the area of fieldbus and industrial Ethernet use. The company is situated in Denkendorf, close to Stuttgart and develops both standardised interface modules as well as “customised” solutions.

The real time Ethernet System SafetyNET p provides a variety of advantages for use in distributed control systems in which safe and unsafe data requires communication in real time. SafetyNET p is an ideal combination of the advantages of fieldbus and Ethernet. A multitude of topologies and the real time performance offer a variety of possibilities in modular machine construction. Kunbus will become a membership company of Safety Network International e.V. with the implementation of SafetyNET p interfaces in own products. Product stacks will be developed which will be available for use for the manufacturer. In addition to this, service and the preparation of documents will go hand in hand.

Kunbus GmbH sees SafetyNET p as a system which fulfils the wide spectrum of demands on safe broadband communication in the industrial environment outstandingly.

Today, this company already provides interface modules for all conventional fieldbuses and industrial Ethernet applications including in the versions DeviceNet, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Ethercat and CANopen. In addition to this, Kunbus is also active in the field of “custom design”. In this area the company develops and finishes complete communication modules to suit the customer’s requirements exactly.
