12. Ordinary General Meeting on 23. November 2011

The next Safety Network International e.V. ordinary general meeting will take place on the 23rd November 2011 within the premises of the Trade Exhibition Nürnberg. Both the 2nd chairperson and the treasurer will stand for election. There will be a vote on the acceptance of pre members as well as the discharge of the task of financial matters for the chairperson.

Certification of the new HARTING Fast Track Switch - Safety is a Priority

The demand of the user for a barrier-free and continuously connected network with standard Ethernet interface up to the field level is only partly possible with significant limitations in network topology and the permitted network partners due to the determinism and performance requirements.

Standardisation offers user advantages

The norms IEC 61158 and IEC 61784 are a very comprehensive body of standards dedicated to industrial communication using field busses. The series of norms are divided into 11 base parts in order to do justice to the different aspects of communication. In IEC 61158 the parts 1 to 6 are directed at basic communication.

SafetyNET p is Standard-Ethernet

SafetyNET p is based on standard Ethernet according to IEEE 802.3 throughout the entire network. In SafetyNET p there is a range of 100 Mbit/s in use. 100BASE-TX is used for electrical transmission and 100BASE-FX for fibre-optic paths.
