Safety technology deals with the risks associated with modern industry, and their exposure to man and the environment. The main emphasis is placed on the risks associated with technology, the operation of industrial equipment and exposure to materials. Statutory regulations on engineering safety primarily serve as operational safety, e.g. health and safety at work and the environment.

Safety Network International e.V. and other affiliated members plan to establish the Safety Network Academy. The network’s aim is to encourage an inter-exchange of knowledge amongst the participating institutions and establishments. Participants have the opportunity to present projects and work in their own specialist field, and subsequently pass valuable ideas and suggestions on to other companies.
