Fast reaction times due to event-driven transmission
SafetyBUS p functions in an event-driven manner. This means information is only sent, when there is a change of state at the central or decentralised input/output or at the bus participant. For this reason SafetyBUS p is particularly good for plant networks with varying message frequency and high reaction time demands.
Safe, non-reactive communication
With SafetyBUS p the relevant safety signals are transmitted through the standard control process in the form of physically and logically separated information. The plant’s standard automation process has therefore no effect on the safety functions – this is crucial in the case of an emergency.
Low shut down periods due to safe group disconnection
Sensors and actuators are tied to the SafetyBUS p safety control system through decentralised input/output modules. During application, logically connected plant components can be configured as a group and in the event of a fault, cut off separately. The remaining production process continues to run.
Maximum, standardised safety
SafetyBUS p is approved by the Government Safety Organisation to category 4 after EN 954-1, EN 60204, EN IEC 62061, according to TÜV after AK 6 DIN V 19250, SIL 3 after EN IEC 61508 and NFPA 79. This guarantees unlimited use in safety applications. The safe, open bus system fulfils the EMV stipulations in the BWS standard EN 61496-1 and is the first safety oriented SEMI standard for sensor bus technology in semi-conductor technology, enclosed in suite E54.
